Angelo DiLeva, the Company's President who worked in the architectural industry before getting his MBA, says "the Design and Building Industry is possibly the most fragmented and inefficient market in the world. We are going to change that by making it very easy for the 1.2 million firms in this industry to take advantage of the efficiency of the Internet."
Akropolis.net has recently entered into partnership agreements with several professional trade organizations and will be announcing the hiring its new CEO on Monday, November 15th.
Founded in 1997, Akropolis.net is a vertically integrated business to business Internet portal serving the Design and Building industry. Services include building and hosting company profiles and portfolios, creation and hosting of Web sites and a full featured industry specific online employment center. Web based project collaboration software, e-commerce and specification information online are expected to be added before year end. Clients include the Gensler, the world's largest architecture and interiors firm, HLW International LLP, the country's oldest architecture & engineering firm, and the Pavlik Design Team, the world's largest retail design team.
